Getting from out in front of your Non-ARC resistant switchgear is an option using SMART switchgear that utilizes relays, monitoring equipment, and remote racking capabilities. While non-arc resistant equipment may be standard, when it comes to the safety of your employees and your equipment, choosing arc-resistant equipment is a very logical and responsible choice. Depending on your projects requirements CESI can offer Medium Voltage Arc Resistant equipment rated all the way up to 15 kV, 63kA with a 4000A ratings tested per the IEEE C37.20.7 standard. A short list of features includes 2 high construction, universal spare circuit breakers, closed door racking, UL or C-UL listings, 3 cycle ratings and flexible exhaust location options. Your design doesn’t typically stop at the Medium Voltage level. CESI has a full line of capabilities that cover the 480V low voltage switchgear as well. We start off with UL listed, performance tested and classified arc resistant C37.20.7 switchgear with main breaker and bus ratings up to 6000A, four high stacked power circuit feeder breakers, and insulated/isolated bus bars are available with either Non Arc Resistant or Arc Resistant 2B construction. While arc resistance for Low Voltage Motor Control is relatively new to the electrical industry, CESI has the options and ratings that will fit your project needs.
